Infant - One Piece Knobbed Puzzle
This student explores a one-piece puzzle. We start with a single circle to allow them to focus on putting the piece on the base without the challenge of rotating it to fit. She was given time and space with this material before she was able to do successfully put the piece in the base. We allow plenty of time for exploration and let the child form an understanding of their own rather than putting an emphasis on showing them how to do it. This fosters cognitive development and problem solving while the action of putting the puzzle together aids in fine motor control & hand-eye coordination.
