so obviously i watched all of bridgerton in a couple of days and have, like, truly nothing to say about it that hasn’t been said, that’s not what this post is about. what i DO have to say is that i mentioned to @coldbam and @tomelettesandgreggs, as in our ongoing gc joke, that this is exactly the kind of shit that eliot would be like, omg q baby... it’s us... to which q would be like, ??? what? how????
not only that i think it’s SO cute and charming to think of eliot transposing their relationship onto all these dramatic and tragic fictional romances because although their lives have been very dramatic and tragic, what is to compelling (to me) about queliot is how very simple it is when you boil it down to the facts. like, fillory and mosaic and beast aside - they’re just two dudes who like each other so much, and always have, who were very hot for each other, and who then fell in love and turned out to be actually good at being together and being good for each other! lmao
which: i think i see q as seeing it more that way (“why the fuck not?”) but the thing with eliot is like, he’ll watch anything with a sweeping, grand love story and regardless of context and circumstances will be like, ‘wow that’s exactly how i feel about my boyfriend :-),’ shhdjfjf IT’S SO SWEET!!
