In my job I work with lots of men, mostly creatives. About half of them are normal and the other half are so specific, dainty, and fragile, I feel like any correspondence I initiate will be met with some sort of mild scorn or irritation. Like sorry, 35yo male, like I am being EARNESTLY NICE, and I know you're like a VERY SPECIAL BOY, but you're also DOING IT FUCKING WRONG :)

talk to me about the nuances of Hamlet

(if you wanna) (I struggled with the ye old English and probably didn't quite get it all)

um. idk if this is what you meant exactly but i have been Thinking about hamlet and horatio and about how horatio doesn't usually live at hamlet's place(and by hamlet's place i mean like. elsinore). which is not super significant except it IS. to me.

so the whole play horatio is a LOT more aware of what's going on than hamlet is but at the same time he just kind of lets hamlet do shit (and joins in at times!!) because . gay? idk. but i ALSO think it's partially because horatio isn't really In His Element

like. horatio is at hamlet's big huge castle for a funeral & a wedding, and he doesn't normally live there. he's probably pretty lost. but hamlet DOES and he HAS lived there for his whole life and so he very much knows how to get around & like. all the societal stuff and everything (and horatio Does Not)

and so you have the conflict of like. hamlet knows the setting and the people and horatio knows hamlet. and . there is probably something interesting to be said about that but idk my brain is tired
