After Megatron was captured, the Autobots did little to attend to the injuries he sustained in the fight. Stabilizing him just enough that he would remain alive and serve out his life sentence. He still looks a lot like he did after Prime kicked his aft.

Since his frame is also degrading, he looks worse now.
