It seems like we're always talking about The Lemon Twigs, so we might as well post "Written By", the Record Store Day LP release from Ronnie D'Addario. Actually, his sons Brian and Michael (The Lemon Twigs) curated these songs from Ronnie's career and re-recorded them, inviting some "heavy hitters" (with Ronnie of course) of the indie pop scene. It sounds like The Lemon Twigs sound is in the family DNA.
By heavy hitters, I mean primarily themselves, but also Mac DeMarco, Sean Ono Lennon, Todd Rundgren, Matt Jardine (later era Beach Boys, Brian Wilson), Darian Sahanaja and Probyn Gregory (Wondermints, Brian Wilson).
This is released by Omnivore Recordings. You can find the CD version on the Omnivore website, but you'll have to go to your local record store or Discogs to get the vinyl version. Ronnie D'Addario lives in New York City.
