Chapter One part 1 is done and the first read thought has been completed. So now it will be viewed by some extra eyes and checked over. I'm not sure how long that will take. I just wanted to let everyone know that Nine Houses is still being worked on.

Update on Orange Poll Dress and Roman's Casual Look Mini project

Just a quick update for you all about how these projects have been progressing, plus a sneak peak on the next dress I want to make.

On both of these projects: I am heading back to school this week, and classes start next week, so they're on hold until I can get adjusted to the new schedule. Shouldn't take too long, but you should expect to hear about the Roman mini project before the poll dress.

Orange Poll Dress

So, this dress has had the least amount of progress since I last posted about fabric scavenging on 12/24. I haven't had the time to go and get some fresh fabrics, and the fabrics I have were really leaving me... uninspired. You'd think that a dress which I had other people pick out all the design elements for would be easy to make, but, uh... not really, unfortunately. I'm working on it!

It's on pause until I can go to a fabric store with some friends to get properly re-inspired and get a good idea going! I'm hoping to give you an update on it in the next month (so, mid February).

Roman's Causal Look Mini project

Okay, on the list of things to do for this project now includes getting a proper master post up, haha.

This outfit has a few elements that still need completion.

The jacket is done!

I started making a corset top via the 'wrap yourself in plastic and duct tape to make a pattern' method and it didn't go very well, so I'm scrapping that to try something else. The top still needs some editing.

I found a cool mesh shirt with floral patterns I'm going to use as an undershirt, though!

The skirt looks awesome and just needs to have an elastic waist put in, and then it'll be good to go.

I have the coolest boots for the outfit and I'm so pleased.

So, in short, I have minor adjustments to make on the skirt and a corset-inspired blouse to make, and then it'll be ready. I also have a tiara I've been wanting an excuse to wear so this'll be great.

My goal is to complete this cosplay by the end of February.

Upcoming project

Spring is coming! The next dress I make I am very excited for. It's going to be a sundress for Emile Picani, based on the fanfiction Love And Other Fairy Tales, mostly because I want a sundress I can wear. My goal is to make it in the month of March so it's ready for springtime in the mountains.

(No one say anything about Patton's wedding dress from LAOFT it's in a bag in the back of my closet begging me to work on it I'll get to it eventually I promise)

Team North America/Australia DWC Update!

Hello everyone! 

Team NA/Aus has around 100 writers on the roster. This is lovely and amazing and we love you all!

However, it makes it a bit time consuming to put forth head count (due to tumblr limitations on copy/pasting mentions), and to post kick off and update prompt lists. 

Because of this, we have decided to move forward with two updates. 

1. Removal of inactive writers. 

it looks like a number of writers have been inactive for a while (several months). It is fine, we understand life happens and that you want to be part of dwc but might not have time. However, we are going to move inactive writers to an inactive list, which are not included on the head count.   

If you want to be on the head count post going forward, please affirm it on this post. Anyone not replying will be set as inactive. 

Inactive writers can be moved to active at any moment (just let us know), and you are still welcome in the writer’s discord chat. A way to think of this is that if you plan to write (even once) in the next couple months, feel free to stay active. We are not trying to exclude anyone or set limits on participation.

2. Requiring static prompt lists. 

This is another thing we have to do to make it more manageable for us to do the kick off post. Each writer need to have one static link for prompts, which does not change from week to week. You can either use any tumblr post and edit it with links or similar to your prompt list (ex here ) or you can use tumblr redirects to link to any post (see instructions here). 

Please send a direct message to admin Viking ( @thevikingwoman ) with your static link to prompts. This includes writers who already have a static list. 

 We are sorry to ask you to do this, but with the current amount of writers, the admin work has become a huge task, and we are trying to find ways to reduce this. Thank you for your help!

The writing of the second part of the Prologue is complete. Now I need to work on editing and making sure the coding works. If all goes well the update should be ready by the end of the month or early February.

Hello, still alive and still writing. Things are going along just very slowly. Sadly I can't say for sure when Chapter 1 will be out but I am working towards it.

On a cheerful note, I reached 500 followers. Woooo! I am very grateful to everyone.

Hello Everyone,

Slowly but surely it is coming along. I wasn't able to write as much as planned because I unexpectedly had to take care of a sick relative. They are doing better now so I am back to my regular schedule.

I'm having some issues with getting the codex in the footer. I can't get it to remain hidden until a certain point. Coding is hard 😓. Hopefully, I will figure it out soon!

The writing itself is going well. The story is flowing and I'm not running into any blocks. I'm working on more branching choices and there are some big plot points I can't wait to share with everyone.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who has followed me recently. I really appreciate it. ♥️

Writing Update

I just spent about four hours working on the demo. That was a lot more than planned but I figure out some branching issues. Hopefully this mean that I can give a date soon on a demo update.
