Just had someone pull a gun on me for the first time.
In Germany, that's not something that happens very often, because people don't usually have guns. It was some angry drunk guy shouting at us to get lost and pointing his gun at us in the middle of the street at one in the morning... we're all okay though, nobody got hurt, he didn't actually shoot luckily, and the police were able to catch him fairly quickly afterwards (we called as soon as we were around the corner and it's a small town).
As a person with processing delays, it's equal parts fascinating and scary seeing everyone else freak out and go through phases of shock. I'm not looking forward to reaching that.
My wonderful Tae! Octavia, age 8, was diagnosed with a severe processing delay just recently and severe anxiety. I am sure we will receive more diagnosis over the next year as we go into more evaluations. Without our doctors and evaluations we would never be on the right track where we are with her education. She also has an undiagnosed bladder issue we are currently seeing a specialist for and was diagnosed with asthma years ago though we have had no problems I am not sure how the previous diagnosis would effect our insurance. She deserves care. She deserves answers. She deserves an education that works for her.
My brain anytime I’m having trouble processing: Time to make a character and a storyline out of this 😁
This is why I’m a writer
Playing sports in gym with a processing delay is a horrible time that I don’t even wish upon my enemies
Why am I having trouble using they/them pronouns for people, including myself?!?
It feels like my mind is on autopilot. I’m assuming this is the works of my mental health causing processing and output issues.
I don't know if its me and my processing delay but I think they should subtitle Ryan's voice when he is on screen because no offence I can't understand him when he talks. He could be saying anything.
*brain goes whoosh*
I’ll be in the middle of a conversation and I’ll have a gut reaction, but need time to mull over WHY I have that reaction. And I usually come to a pretty solid, sound conclusion. But if I tried expressing how or why, without taking time to process my thoughts, it’s just going to sound like nonsense.
Or I’ll tangent. I’m terrible about going on tangents.
It’s also why I’m terrible at debating.
“You’re wrong.” “Why? How?” “Fuck if I know. You just are.”
Three hours later… “So here’s two hour speech, a powerpoint presentation, and a ten page, MLA formatted paper as to why you’re wrong.”
