Tips for Effective Personal Time Management
1. Spend time planning and organizing.
2. Set Goals: set goals which are specific, measurable, realistic and achievable. Your optimum goals are those which cause you to "stretch" but not "break" as you strive for achievement.
3. Prioritize: 80 percent of the reward comes from 20 percent of the effort.
4. Use a To Do List
5. Be Flexible: allow time for interruptions and distractions. Plan just 50 percent or less of one's time.
6. Avoid being a perfectionist: Some things need to be closer to perfect than others, but perfectionism, paying unnecessary attention to detail, can be a form of procrastination.
7. Conquer procrastination: when you are avoiding something, break it into smaller tasks and do just one of the smaller tasks and work on the big tas for just 15 minutes.
8. Reward yourself: I we learn to balance excellence in work with excellence in play, fun, and relaxation, our lives become happier, healthier, and a great deal more creative.
Hey I will find something to post
Eventually....
Don't remember the last time I used having a lot of work to do as an excuse to not go to something, and then actually proceeded to do said work
At 9 pm
I have 3 hours left to finish a paper that I was assigned 2 weeks ago, ON ONE OF MY FAVORITE TOPIC: GUNS
Productivity
In high school, I was such a huge procrastinator. In college, I suck it up and get my work done. I think it's because I now have so much free time to get things done. I would only have like 2-3 hours a day outside of school and extracurricular activities for myself, I didn't want to spend that time doing homework. I think because I spend an average of 3 hours of day in class and then I have the rest of the day to do what I want. It allows me less pressure to get my assignments done. One of my friends noticed they never really see the freshmen in our friend group ever do homework while we hang out in the library. I told her I never do my homework there. I get my assignments and homework done in my dorm before I go to have fun with friends. It's how I work. If i'm exposed to friends and the option to go out and have fun, I would take it rather than do my homework due an hour later. Work before play, my method on how I will succeed in college and it's been working really well this semester.
Have three hours to read a 21 small print paged article for a quiz, go on youtube to pick a song to listen to as I read…stay on youtube for two hours watching random videos =____=
