molly and bellatrix

falls asleep on the couch

i don’t see either of them falling asleep on the couch, actually? maybe if one or the other has a particularly late night, but otherwise they both make it to the bed before they pass out for the night.

makes friends with the neighbors

molly. she’s the more friendly one of the two for sure, and bellatrix’s…charms would probably scare the neighbors away, if anything. molly makes sure to always handle it.

is the adventurous eater

for some reason i picture bellatrix as being a picky eater? so molly out of the two of them, but like i’ve said before she is definitely an adventurous cooker. there’s no way in hell she wouldn’t at least try and make bella try a few new things that she’s made, much to bella’s protests. molly secretly thinks the protests are hilarious.

hogs the covers at night

more like who wins the wrestling match. they fight for the covers constantly when they’re in bed, to the point that they’ve gone out and bought their own separate blanket. not that it matters, of course–normally molly’s blanket gets knocked off the bed at some point in the night, and it’s back to tugging again (unless they end up curled against each other, of course).

forgets to do the dishes

bellatrix, and molly absolutely hates it. she tells her every time to wash the damn dishes, and every time bellatrix just nods and smiles. honestly she probably does it on purpose just to get on molly’s nerves.

tries to surprise their partner more often

molly definitely does it more often than bellatrix does. she likes doing those kind of things, after all. she’s a bit of a romantic.

leaves dirty laundry on the floor

bellatrix more than molly, and that’s only because molly can be a bit of a neat freak. she has to get everything cleaned up and put away or her mind will keep going back to that mess.

stays up til 2 AM reading

neither of them would. they both value their sleep way too much to stay up that late.

sings in the shower

molly, definitely molly. it’s not the worst way to wake bellatrix up, but if she didn’t get a lot of sleep the night before it’s the most annoying way.

takes the selfies

probably bellatrix? molly takes pictures of everything except herself, especially of the dishes she makes. bellatrix would rather take pictures of herself.

plans date night

again, molly is a hopeless romantic. date nights are her favorite nights, especially since it means that she gets bellatrix all to herself.

😃 For a general headcanon of our muses

Molly wants to hate Bellatrix. Really, she does. She wants so badly to be glad that this woman is dead, because she’s caused so much pain–she threatened her children. She’s part of the reason that Gideon is dead. Yet, she honestly can’t. She can’t be happy that Bellatrix is dead, because a part of Molly still remembers a time where the two were close, where she considered the other woman a best friend. She can’t be glad that Bellatrix is dead because all of those memories are still there and were real, and that’s not something that can be easily forgotten. So yes, Molly may outwardly show that she’s relieved for her death, but while she grieves for Gideon, she grieves for Bellatrix, too.

Molly waited until Gideon and Fabian got into the enchanted boats to find Bellatrix, watching her brothers sail across the lake and swallowing back a lump in her throat. Today was emotional, yes, because her brothers had graduated for Christ’s sake, but beneath the pride and sorrow that she felt about the graduation, there was anger. While the rest of the students went to finish packing up their belongings to head to the train, Molly made her way through the castle, managing to find her right before the passage down to the dungeons. Molly clenched her fists and took a deep breath, walking over and reaching out to grab the other’s arm. She wasn’t going anywhere so long as Molly could help it.

“You weren’t at the graduation.” They hadn’t spoken in what felt like (and probably was) months, and that was the first thing she could think of to say? Molly wanted to scold herself, to rewind and maybe change that, but it was one of the things she had been wanting to talk about: Gideon and Bellatrix had been such good friends, better than her and Molly. Missing the graduation was a big deal. “You’ve been avoiding us. Why? What did we do?”

Summer of 1966

Molly wasn’t into pureblood parties at all, but her mother always insisted. Something about attending traditional functions to get a leg up in the world, if she remembered her wording correctly. Still, while her brothers more often than not were able to weasel their way out of these events (hence the lack of Prewett twins today), Molly had not quite mastered that skill, and so  she was ushered along by Glinda Prewett to the formal whether she liked it or not.

The home was nice enough, though probably not the nicest she’d ever seen, but the table of finger foods on the opposite side of the room caught her attention, drawing Molly to them. When her brothers weren’t here, she was left to fend for herself, but luckily today there didn’t seem to be many nearly-fifteen-year-olds to make conversation with. 

Well, except for one.

Molly caught sight of Bellatrix a few feet away from her, and her head tilted to the side curiously. She seemed to be looking for someone, or so it seemed, though she wasn’t going to go up and ask her who. They had maybe spoken a handful of times in the four years of school that they’d had together, so she wasn’t sure how conversation would be received here.

Then again, Molly was the curious sort.

Setting down her drink for the house elves to clean up, she left her position by the table and made her way over to the other teen, offering her a small smile. “Looking for someone?”
