WHEN SOMEONE ASKS WHY I DON’T ACT
Voxonic Studio www.voxonic.ie
Thinking of making the switch from FLStudio to Cubase
FLStudio is nice and has served me amazingly well throughout the past two years or so, but it's extremely limiting in some regards (such as tempo manipulation and having fine control over placement of loops). These things make it nearly impossible to remix or sample songs with tempo changes (like the Tarantella Napolatana, which I was trying to sample and had to give up on), and forces you to get really tricky to line up everything in songs that have a lot of rhythmic changes (like the last instrumental I made/remixed).
Cubase, I've been told, eliminates these problems and many more, and also works on the same VST instruments and plugins that FLStudio does. What this means is that all the instrument sounds and instrument plugins that I've accumulated over the past two years will transfer over to Cubase and I won't have to start looking for sounds again, which is awesome, not because I have so many or because the ones I have are so awesome, but because it's just a bitch to find VST instruments and plugins that are A) free, B) useful and C) sound good, and having to start over would suck royally.
So yeah. Not that anybody cares, but that's the dealio. Haha
