Hello, everyone! I am Pokemon Professor Avery Harper, but you can just call me Prof Harper. I travelled to a few regions in my youth instead of doing gym or contest challenges, eventually taking up an apprenticeship under another Professor.
My specialties lie in harmonious living with land-based pokemon. This means I'm often called upon when wild pokemon populations start to show aggression and violence towards humans. I study and gather information about the habitats and any recent changes to try to get humans and pokemon working together again. Or at least tolerate one another. Sometimes trainers ask advice on issues they are having with their pokemon, but I know more about wild than captive bred. I'm currently based in Snowpoint City to learn more about ice types, as I have worked with them the least.
I actually have a full team of Pokemon. Most prefer staying out of their pokeballs. I have Rosie, an off-"shiny" Minccino. She was my first and is also my bossiest. Next up is Bitty the Bidoof. He was abandoned very young by his family and taken in by the Trainer's School, but he eventually chose to follow me. Beau is my disabled, wild-caught Dustox. Ace is a Houndoom who was mistrained for a few years before I stumbled across him. Now he likes to keep us all on our toes! Titan, my Mudsdale, was a trade made to better both Pokemon's lives. Cobalt is the newest, a baby Rookidee who found herself in Sinnoh under presumably horrific circumstances.
