Unown Care Guide: The Basics

It's important in order to impart my interest that I share some tips and tricks of proper Unown care! So here are three good starting tidbits!

1: Unown and socialising.

Unown are known to be quite reserved in the wild, but there are multiple misconceptions here! Your Unown, should you get one, is likely quite a social little friend! The issue is trust. They need to know that they can trust the people and pokemon around them, as we are literally foreign to them! They are multiple ways to do this, and I will be making a separate post on the matter as this one is likely quite long anyway, but remember that your Unown is an individual, and there is no one size fits all solution.

2: Unown living space.

Unown love anywhere where they can lay flat, but you will find greater success catering to much more than that. When introducing a new Unown into your life, dark spaces are going to be their friend. Other known comforts are alphabet fridge magnets, posters with large text, any calendar, children's books with large text, and more! But your best bet initially is to replicate their usual cave/ruin biome and allow them to get used to more of their new home.

3: Unown and exercise/battling.

Unless you allow at least eight Unown on a field at once to battle a single opponent, it is not recommended that you use them as battling pokemon. There are a few exercises you can do to keep them healthy, but the standard, able bodied Unown will do this already in the form of their cute little dances! The best exercises for Unown are intellectual or built around their psychic abilities! We have a weights room in our shelter for the expressed purpose to help maintain their telekinesis at a healthy strength at minimum, and crosswords, puzzles, and even just hearing books read aloud are amazing at assisting mental health and development!
