Was feeling fab wearing my brand new yellow submarine dress to work today. And please pay attention to the way I'm letting my hair hang all around George, just like begged me to do

PSA for young professionals: business casual attire is a regional standard. Make sure any advice you get is from someone who can specify your region. In the US, business casual on the west coast can get you fired on the east coast and the east coast standard will make people think you think you're better than them.

Any Advice on How to Dress Professionally When Biology and Economics Are Against You?
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to dress more professionally when everything seems to be against you.
I'm poor, almost living paycheck to paycheck, and while I won't say I always make the best choices with my money, my financial status has more to do with my company and line of work than my decisions.
I'm overweight. Finding clothes in my size even in Boscovs can be difficult, but it's nearly impossible to do so at thrift stores or discount stores. In addition, my gut extends far past my waist, which means I either need to tuck in my shirt or pull my skirt/pants up higher than normal to prevent it from showing. Tucking in sounds fine, only I also have bigger than usual breasts, which means that sometimes tucking in my shirt makes it look like it's too tight. Or, if I get a bigger shirt then I need, it ends up looking baggy. Normally I wear dresses to get around this, but I have a condition with my feet and legs that make it extraordinarily uncomfortable to sit with my knees together. If I'm at a desk this isn't a problem, but I worry about how it might look in other settings.
My hair is very thin. This is due to genetics and PCOS. I'm on medication, but it's not getting any better. I have little whisps of hair that won't stay put even with gel.
Everything I read makes it clear how important it is to dress professionally, but I simply don't have an endless stream of money or even enough time to hunt through every store to find the right clothes. If there is anything that can be done about the little whisps of hair, I can't think of anything.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm at my wits end. I can't fathom why any system would be set up to make it as hard as possible for people to succeed.
