Peter Mckinley

Peter Mckinley is a very Professional at designing, he is also an artist and producer. His work has been displayed in many parts of the United State and Europe. What I learned from his presentation was how to find a good way to use online resource to help develop my skills in animation, which can lead me to my dreaming job closer. And Peter also mentioned that write all the ideas come into your brain sometimes, and ideas just come into your brain in a moment. Further more going through a specific experience can also improve your work for the better. Something he mentioned was that we as designers are taught to reduce and simply things because the normal people will not understand what we are trying to convey. At the last, I showed him some of my final project, and also got some advices which enhanced me much.

Eva Lee

Eva Lee is our presenter in this week, she is a artist who was a trained painter but finished her MFA with drawings and now does sculpture and motion graphics for art work. Her work was really fantastic because of talent idea which focuses on exploring unknown that you cannot imagine with. Eva gave me some advice about how to make a beautiful artwork and how to enhance our thesis. Some of those advice included taking into consideration cultural differences and how different cultures understand and don’t understand certain things and playing with sound to help express your intentions to help enhance my work. Eva also pointed out that it is important to know what your intentions are, what you want the audience to experience and what you wanted them to feel or get out of your work. She also talked about making strong statements about how to use black and white. Moreover, she watched my final project which not complete, she gave me some feedbacks and I appreciated.

Mike Bourdeau

Mike Bourbeau is an animator and a 3D technical artist that specific in 3D- modeling. I was able to present for Mike and get some feedback and even during his presentation. he discussed he various works of art such as his final production which was an animation told us a funny story between a chicken and a lion. That is a excellent work, gave me a lot of inspirations. He also designed plenty nice video game and beautiful character designs. The most important composition advice he gave me was that no matter what i am doing or creating always need get references and search for everything. After he helped me a lot with advice. He told me another point was to increase my exposure with social media presence, we always call it “Online portfolio”.

Andrea Merkx

Andrea Merkx is a media artist. Andrea’s works were very amazing, and I was wonder much at the preparation, one thing I thought was she worked on and the scale of each project. Andrea gave us some good advice that would help me in the future. One of her advice was our works must to show the audience enough thing to catch their attention so they will stay and keep looking. This was a very good advice, because catching their attention and let them be interested in your project is very important. Another similar advice was that we have to make sure that the audience feels for your design from each part such as character and scene. Color and design need be a way to catch their attention, it must be very beautiful. I thought these advice were really good for show me a new way to promote and make a better project what can give much more interested feeling to the audience.

Jahanzeb Khan

Jahanzeb Khan graduated from NYIT who is a graphic designer and a game designer as well. He told us his experience about  he switch his major from computer programming to graphic design because he felt there was not enough creativity in his last major. After switched he got another job working for FHM magazine. From this experience he was able to learn a lot about photoshop and motion graphic, he can use this skill later in whole life. He could jump online base on his nice skill with WGSN when magazines started to die. Moreover what was i learned from his presentation was that the more you learned the more you got. His experience was a very good example. Maybe we can choice another way to continue our job working in different area when last job died. Very specific thing on our project that we have to care about was color was important and we need understand color better. Because people always judged designer by their outside of productions at first time.

Michael Reese

Michael Reese is an art & technology artist whose is a Professor at William Paterson University. He did a lot of interesting things and impacted me much. What I learned from his presentation was what I am doing or creating and why I am doing it. After doing the thing s and going through a specific experience can also promote yourself better than good. Furthermore, another main thing that he mentioned was that we are taught to reduce things simply because we are designers and many normal people will not understand what we are trying to convey. At last, he told us that we have to figure out what are we and what we really want to do, then flow your heart and go doing much more research, because is quite important. the more research you did on your topic the better project you will make.

Peter Karnik

Peter Karnick was a graduate from New York Institute of Technology who focus was animation and also a animator at Gotham City Films. Peter gave me many good advice about how to develop a 3d with 2d-animation. His advice for properly blending a 3d scene which have to create with 2d-animation was to get the smooth animation. He also told us about companies usually want people who specialize in a specific area of the general field and they also want you to have a general knowledge of all your major. In addition, you are going to lean as you go, its okay to ask questions if you do not know something and in turn those same people may have a question to ask you later. Peter also gave us some good reality world advice on how to get started in animation and how to stay in the same field as well. He also said social was very important and you have to make friends and make connections because you are living in such a world.

UN Guru

Narin Gulec, is a graphic designer and her presentation was a good way to start this semester. She was a graduate from New York Institute of Technology who focused on graphic design and so strong her understanding of color was. I learned that color aids are color paper that I can use to practice looking at colors. I was also ask her about job. She received her bachelors she went straight to job searching landing with an internship with SHK magazine. She told me that if I wanted to continue to progress I had to further my education and get my MFA. Now I’m ready to work in United S for the United States with her advice. Moreover, I got another chance to have her critique my work and she gave me a very important suggestion that was to get colored paper and see what looks well together.
