So- tonight I have worked very hard on setting up a twitter page for O/N/S (one night stand Ehibition) I even called Benny for some advice, and have set up a new e-mail which is: [email protected] [which was the best name available!]...and Twitter makes you give an email, and didn't want to use my personal one.

It's VERY bright, since we were going for bright... but I've had to size things down from the posters etc so images fit in the boxes provided without obscuring text.

I've been through various followers of Issy mIll, Metanoia, Verb etc...to try and add lots of people. I will send some personal messages requesting follows back, soon but not tonight!

We are linked up to the facebook page now- where I have revised the wording a little and added a little extra to make it sound as exciting as it WILL be :)

Hayward Gallery  The Light Show "Light has the power to affect our state of mind as well as alter how we perceive the world around us." The light show was unreal. One of my favorite exhibitions i have ever been to. I particularly enjoyed the blue, red, green room..the colours were so striking and contrasted against each other so beautifully i couldn't tear my eyes away. And the last room, the grand finale took my breath away. The strobe lights on the fountains made it look almost animated it was stunning to witness.  The exhibition gave me so many ideas for a future collaborative project i have been thinking about for awhile now. 

  i wasn't allowed to take pictures inside the exhibition, but i managed to sneak a few.

London

Although I took very few photos in London I have collected several booklets/leaflets from exhibitions and come away with many thoughts and ideas on the exhibitions I attended. Seeing Rosemarie Trockel's work at the Serpentine gallery was most impressive, the huge diversity and range of her work made me realise I don't need to find a style or a theme. I really enjoyed her work with wool and her furry 'breathing' soft sculptures.  From there we visited the V & A museum which is monumentally huge. The sheer scale of the building and the variety of cultures that were represented within was colossal.  I did not visit Tate Modern while in London as I have been there many many times before, but I did visit the Light Show on southbank which was mind blowing. It was just incredible. Olafur Eliasson's 'Model for a Timeless Garden' was remarkable. A series of water fountains set in a line along a raised platform in a blacked out room were illuminated by strobe lights. The outcome made me feel as though I'd wandered into a stop-motion animation with an incredibly simple but brilliantly effective idea behind it.  This piece however was not even my favourite in the exhibition. Anthony Mcall's 'You and I, Horizontal' was fabulous and stole my top spot of the trip. I felt like I was spectator, creator, influence and functional piece. The lines of light created were so clear and defined that I was sure I could touch them, feel them as they passed over me. It really was phenomenal. Overall the trip to London was really beneficial. I go to London a lot and mainly go to see art galleries so I was dubious as to whether this trip would actually yield anything for me, but going with fellow artists is something I've not done. It's always family members or friends, who appreciate art but don't work with it. The difference in the experience was so noticeable I couldn't quite grasp it at first. Having someone else with you who has an artists look on things changes so much of the experience.  Definitely a good few days.

Some pictures of my 'home studio'. Yeah it's my bed, but I'm comfortable there and it keeps my feet warm! Also some of the crochet I've been doing. Started cutting up some plastic bags and crocheting with those. It's surprisingly easy. Trying to find the best way to cut the bags so I don't have to keep joining new bits on.
