What does the ham joke mean? I googled it and what I got from that ham pic was something about a ham contest and winning last year. Please enlighten me. orz
Well, “hamming it up” is a common idiom for overacting. Historically, it would’ve been used for an inept, amateur actor - but in modern times, it usually refers to someone purposely overacting or making a spectacle of themselves for the amusement of others. The word “ham” is often used to describe someone who’s doing just that.
So Karen posting a picture of a big ol’ ham to “inspire” Colin after something that happened yesterday...
Especially considering the cryptic “even the printer can’t handle Colin” comment on the makeup artist’s Instagram post yesterday...
Let’s just say that someone whose name starts with a C and ends with an olin O’Donoghue was probably goofing around and being a big ol’ ham on set yesterday, much to everyone’s amusement.
