I PASSED TODAY!! MULTI ENGINE CHECKRIDE COMPLETE. It has been an incredible journey to start this year as a private pilot and finish it as a commercial instrument multi engine rated pilot with the goal of working full time as a pilot and volunteering humanitarian aid flying services. Thank you to all my old and new friends who let me sleep on their couches and in their beds and let me eat food from their fridge this year, as I saved and scraped up every cent to pour into flight training - thank you to everyone who cheered me along as I struggled through fear of failure and not being good enough. This truly was the most challenging thing I have ever done in my adult life. I'm so grateful I could do you proud. It's incredible to finally arrive at this moment. I leave Los Angeles back to the island's tomorrow. To celebrate tonight I took myself on a date to see Sully - at the glamorous Sundance Cinema on Sunset Blvd - and enjoyed a gourmet ice cream sandwich and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. (Great movie- perfect for a post checkride celebration.) I think I will be able to really sleep tonight for the first time in months. I'm so happy to be able to share this good news with you!
