i’m not sure i’ve ever felt relaxed in my life to be honest! bpd (though the doctors are now looking into if i’m actually bipolar instead) makes it pretty hard to chill out when you’re constantly ricocheting between emotions

A good breed, but not for me.

I actually think a lot of spaniel breeding is making the turn from “has to have a job” to “can be a pet, with some effort”. There’s a couple I’ve met where it’s less that they need a job and more that they need more consistent training.

There seems to be a tendency towards weight gain, although that’s true of so many breeds.

In personality they feel a lot like a weird looking, higher drive labrador. Sweet, energetic dogs, but not necessarily anything else in that brain.
