a/n: so this wasn’t necessarily requested, but i did get a few questions about savage opress and some aspects about him in my professor!maul au, so i have a few rambles/headcanons!

profession
savage is a geology professor at university of coruscant, an avid faculty member of the stem department, as well as a seat below the head of the department, professor qui-gon jinn
he may not be a biochemical engineer, nor a botanist, but he sure has earned the respect of his fellow faculty, as well as his students
unlike many professors in the stem department, savage is passionate about his students rather than the research aspect
of course, he does dabble in research projects from time to time, but he loves teaching/lecturing his students even more!
his proper title is professor opress, but he doesn’t mind being called professor savage or just savage
one time, a student referred to him as “mr. opress” and he was stunned because he wasn’t quite sure how to react
he’s close with fellow geology/archaeology professor eeth koth
his favorite class to teach is always the one hundred level
if you can’t find him in his office, he’s usually in the labs, picking away at geodes and crystals
style/dress
typical work attire consists of: a button down, tie, slacks, and dress shoes
he is not as fashionable as his younger brother, but he will dress casually from time to time
however, it is hard to find button downs that properly fit him
usually they’re too tight, the buttons popping off is savage flexes the slightest bit
his slacks are tailored, unique to his sheer size
shoes can be a bitch to find too, but he usually custom orders them or has them specially made to fit his feet
when he’s at home, he doesn’t mind prowling around shirtless, a pair of joggers on his hips
he’s a big fan of nike, as he is quite partial to their workout gear
his favorite top though is a graphic shirt that reads “suns out guns out”
the zabrak owns a pair of glasses, but they’re so tiny on his face they look a tab bit ridiculous
feral and maul never let it down
“savage you look like you’re seventy-five.”
“i’m seventy-five seconds away from beating your ass, feral.”
random tidbits
he has a girlfriend named elisa!
they met a geology conference, where elisa was selling jewelry and cystals at a booth
savage, of course, was no real flirt
throughout high school and college, he was a little too preoccupied with sports to really form relationships with women
the first words he said to her were
“i like rocks, uh, your rocks.”
however, elisa was extremely flattered, flirting up a storm with the zabrak impressed with not only her personality, but her passion for geology, savage fell in love at first sight
they’ve been dating for over a year, and savage plans on proposing once the academic year is finished
his home is a penthouse apartment in the heart of coruscant, not too far from the university
he’s in walking distance to feral’s bakery, along with elisa’s boutique
he owns a bentley
since he’s the oldest of the brothers, he’s a lot more protective of them him and feral are quite close
but maul and savage hold a tight-knit bond as well, since they both work at the same university
they’ll carpool sometimes, when they’re having car troubles
savage may seem as if he’s a big brute, but really, he has the largest heart
