what he really meant was that while Judai has the passion and drive for dueling, he does not have a concrete purpose to anchor his passion and drive towards

and that is why Professor Diva's last words haunt Judai so much

because in order to understand his purpose, Judai must first recognise his nuanced feelings towards dueling that he has grouped under the umbrella of 'fun', but in order to do that he must first understand himself in order to properly dissect his own emotions, feelings and motivations

and forget about understanding himself, Judai forgot when he was able to start seeing duel spirits, something that is so intrinsic to his bonds and a huge part of his connection with dueling

BECAUSE DUELING IS THE MAIN WAY JUDAI COMMUNICATES TO THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM AND PROF DIVA KNOWS LECTURES MEAN LITTLE TO JUDAI AND THATS WHY HE DECIDES TO COMMUNIATE TO JUDAI IN A WAY JUDAI WOULD BE ABLE TO PAY ATTENTION AND UNDERSTAND WHAT HE'S TRYING TO SAY

BY COVERYING HIS LESSOPN THROUGH DUELING PROF DIVA STEPS TO JUDAI'S LEVEL RATHER THAN MAKING JUDAI MEET HIS LEVEL
