My best friend has a very eccentric prof with a loud Irish accent, and she always says funny things in class. Here are a few gems:

“Cornelia just sat in Misenum, casting shade. sub tweeting people”

“Take those sheep, drive to a bandit community, and say ‘I have brought you 500 sheep. Make me your king’”

“The Roman mindset was very much 'wait for it, wait for it, wait for it....NOW IT'S ON FIRE!'”

“If you were late to an appointment, people just assumed you'd been murdered by bandits. Imagine living in a world like that. I mean there's still places like that in the world today...anyone live in [local sketchy city]?”

“What are you supposed to do in Rome when bandits are robbing your house?” “Shoot them!”

"Shepherds were hardcore. You were out there with basically no clothes, people trying to steal your sheep, fighting off wolves with a stick”

Humans can reach up to 36 hours of no sleep before the hallucinations set in, and even then they are quite minor. Four days and your reality becomes distorted, but to be quite honest with you all, maybe reality distortion is what I need here at this rate to make any breakthroughs...

Oh wonderful! I am excited to get one of these "asks" I've seen so much of. Let's see... My studies are a little hard to explain to most people and can't quite be summarized with one word...

Alright, let's start with my own question, have you ever heard of the infinite universe theory? It's quite interesting and captivated me as a young lad! To put it simply, some people believe that every choice you make creates another universe where you made a different choice instead, and all of them branch off infinitely! Some people also interpret "infinite" as meaning "all," so they believe that every possible idea is contained in another universe. (So, for example, if you like My Little Ponyta, there is a universe somewhere where My Little Ponyta exists!) Hopefully, this at least makes a tiny bit of sense.

It is a huge passion of mine, exploring the possibilities. I have not quite proven anything yet but... Perhaps one day. :3

i’m going back to calling myself professor. it’s one of my first internet nicknames and is gender neutral so it just feels at home for me.
