Why I like them: There’s complex characters and then there’s Jasper. The idea that a side mission from the first game is what caused the events of the second game still amuses and confuses me. Sure, there’s always one minor character that unintentionally gets involved in the main plot. But Jasper wasn’t present and didn’t have a plot till game 2 of No More Heroes. I also find it ironic that he’s supposed to be a parody of Batman and the Joker: green, purple, and with a bat insignia.

Why I don’t: It’s more or less that we only get his reveal and story at the end. Even then it’s just very blunt and there’s almost no point. You killed his family, he killed Bishop, and now it’s war. Big woop! It’s kind of a let down. It doesn’t really help that the most we get character wise is that he’s a bit of a drama nerd. (Shakespeare, Kung Fu, Westerns, etc) Other than that, we get zero explanation about his weapons, the serum is a bit of a deux ex machina, and don’t get me started on the blimp form. 

Favorite Episode: It was a game sequel so.. :Y

Favorite Line: “Hairy palmed geek!” (It’s my equivalent to “Rotten Cabbage Patch”!)

Favorite Outfit: Has to be the second phase wrestler/hero outfit. Mask, capes, gloves, boots? PERFECT ACCESSORIES!

Otp: Since he isn’t seen till the end, I don’t really think he’d hook up with anyone? I kind of suspected he’d probably fanboy over Alice Twilight, but that was just for fun. uwu

Brotp: I remember some old friends discussing how he might have gotten along with Charlie McDonald, as they both seem to have interests in robotics. It was also funny to think about the size differences as we suspected Jasper was below average height and we headcanoned that Charlie suffered from gigantism.

Unpopular Opinion: Jasper was a pretty decent character. His reason for battling Travis, though poorly planned out, was valid. Also, it’s Travis’s fault for going on side missions. xP

A Wish: I wish he’d return since, like new destroyman, he’d probably be alive. I don’t think it’ll happen though.

Oh-God-Please-Don’t-Ever-Happen: The world has stayed Jasper porn free for 8 years and it needs to stay that way. NOBODY FUCKING DO IT!
