What a fucking year this has been, I literally don’t even have to say anything else but I will.
Like everyone else, 2020 was the cause of a lot of pain for me, both physically and emotionally: I injured my knee and couldn’t skate for six months, the nationwide injustice against black, gay, and trans people, my grandmother passing away, and I may have lost the long time friendship of one of my best friends. Despise my hardships, this year has also given me a better understanding of who I am as a person. This is thanks to me taking a step back and looking at the big picture: my life is mine and I should enjoy it. The world sucks but it shouldn’t bring me down like other miserable people. I have my family and friends who’ve had my back through everything, be they 5 or 500 miles away, and I’m beyond thankful for them. So let’s move on to 2021 with optimism. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
