So...I just taught my last acting class at UIUC. Yo...I just taught my last class as a grad student?!?!? Crazy!!!!! Bittersweet indeed. I've been truly blessed to have taught these amazing students! I'm a better actor because of them, a better person because of them. God used them to constantly remind me of why I love doing what I do. There were many days that I needed that reminder. Not going to lie, some "Thug Tears" were shed when they presented me with a list of all of my quotes throughout the semester. Wow, they were truly listening. Wow. I'm going to be alright. Today, was the last day of my Theatre 170 class. They all presented their monologues...I was truly blown away by their growth. Sometimes you need to be reminded of why you do what you do. They reminded me everyday of what my purpose is. I am truly blessed to have taught these dope people! I'm truly blessed to have the opportunity to be taught by them.
