He wasn’t usually this mischievous.
His day started out okay enough. He woke up on time, got a hearty breakfast at the Great Hall, managed to catch some sun, and even participated in his classes. He felt like someone who drank a whole glass of felix felicis. All in all, he thought his day was going perfectly well.
Until that afternoon, of course.
While he was on the way to the Black Lake and get some shut eye before dinner, a few Gryffindor firsties scorched his robe after practicing spells they weren’t even supposed to practice until third year. Worse yet, none of those heathens apologised. One look at his house seal stitched on his robe and the little cowards ran off. So much for being lions.
And so there he was, right beside the entrance towards the Gryffindor common room, and planted several dung bombs for the little red kittens.
Coming from a well-off family, his parents sent him to an all-boys boarding school in London when he was still a child. House rivalries were nothing new to him; house pranks were something he thrived in. Now in Hogwarts, he takes his house and the rivalries seriously; it was something he’s never really outgrown.
Finishing off with the last dung bomb, he mentally gives himself a pat on the back, before sneaking out of the dreadful tower. He was already at the second floor corridor when he felt something bad was about to happen. As he turned at the end, he finally realised why he felt anxious. He sighed, already resigned. There was no getting out of this.
“Great.”
