do all programmed indiviuals like kids shows/act childishly?
No, not ALL programmed people like kids shows. Some of their littles may, while other parts don’t care for them. There are others who don’t care for them as a system as they can be triggering.
Non-programmed people act childishly. Nothing wrong with it. If a little/young part is fronting they will act that age or may try to hide they are out. DID is known to be a hidden disorder and most people would not notice a child part fronting.
Can you describe the difference in behavior between programmed alters and alters who split without mind controlling influence?
Alters in a system will have roles that are to be completed either inside (an inside world that has been created through programming) or in the outside world, or both. A programmed alter will have an assigned task, and at times may seem robotic. Programmed alters can be difficult to reason with when it comes to why they have to do their task, what will happen if they don’t complete their task, and will typically front at an assigned time/date/activity/trigger.
There are also parts that are inactive or dormant until programs become triggered. When alters are created by the programmers, they are placed in groups in different sections in the inside world and are often there are structures within the world to keep them from communicating much outside their group or beyond specific programmed interactions.
In a programmed system, all of the created alters are given several kinds of roles/tasks/functions that they do regularly. There are also special tasks that they do at scheduled times. They do these things because of the programming.
Tasks can include keeping track of certain kinds of details, reporting to others (inside or outside of the system), managing other alters, some are daytime alters, whose role it is to go to work and function in the home. Some are nighttime alters, who will participate in occult activities and take care of details related to those.
There are alters programmed for sex, alters for eating, alters for sleeping. Some are protectors. Some are system monitors. Some function as part of internal hierarchies for governing, controlling, and determining goals for the system. Some have spiritual roles.
Some parts have specific tasks that are given by programmers that have to do with missions that take place on the outside. Some keep track of time, and some repair clocks and other parts of the system when they break down.
There are alters that need to combine with others in order to do certain tasks. There are tasks that are assigned for when outsiders get too close, and the system-protection programming is going often in this case the alters may be told to spin something, or self harm or they may be inundated with suggestions to suicide.
Behaviours may initially present the same as a nonprogrammed system. Such as switching, memory issues, and triggered responses to threats and other stressors.
Programmed systems have parts that are trained to respond in specific ways, (scripted response) parts that respond to only the handler, The parts may speak in coded language, repetitive motions, Repetitive, robotic statements that do not make sense in context of dialogue, e.g., “I want to go home”, are a few.
