Murphy (you know, the little guy who adjudicates Murphy’s Law) is a close and personal friend of mine; matter of fact, he sits on my shoulder many a day.  

Don’t believe me? A ProgTracks Apology:

I’ve been so lax about posting music lately due to ‘life events’ (both good and bad), that this blog has basically become an advertisement for The Progressive Tracks Show.  While that’s not my intent (or history over the past 6+ years), it has been the necessity of late.

So in an attempt to break out of my current rut, I’m going to start posting bands that will be playing the Seattle Festival of Progressive and Avant Rock (SeaProg) the first weekend in June.  Of course, that’s what the radio show has been about for the past few weeks anyway... that way I break you and me back in.... slowly.   ;o)

I encourage you to take a listen, especially if you’re not familiar with the bands.  That’s what being ‘progressive’ is all about anyway, isn’t it?

PROGRESSIVE TRACKS SHOW #211                            (SeaProg 2017 - Preview #4)

It’s been one hell of a great month of new music for me... and for you, if you’ve been listening to this SeaProg Festival series.  Even if you’re nowhere near Seattle, you should avail yourself of the wonderful bands that will be playing this year.  This week we delve into the music of a well-known local musician (Robert Svilpa & Paraesthesia), a brand new Prog band (Pinto Wagonfire!), and one of the most uniquely brilliant bands I’ve ever experienced (Jack O’ The Clock). 

And if you ARE near Seattle, by all means get your butt out here and join us!

SEAPROG:  The Seattle Festival of Progressive and Avant Rock will hold its 4th event June 2-4, 2017 at the Columbia City Theater in Seattle.
