Wait are you actually a Prohibitionist???
Alcohol is bad for you. It's also bad for the people around you. Drinking alcohol has no benefits to society, and many serious drawbacks to everybody. While it has a large cultural reputation as something necessary to have a good time or be an adult, the reality is that you don't need it, and neither does anybody else. It's a hazard in a similar way to tobacco, though the 'second hand' risk is more complex, things like car crashes and other accidents, as well as more subtle social issues from impaired judgement, or addiction.
I don't know how to remove it from society, but I believe it should not be here.
As of the moment, I'm in favor of a voluntary movement encouraging individuals to reduce their drinking, stop drinking entirely, or (for young adults) to never start drinking. You may be just one person, but you may inspire somebody else. And you'll even save some money and be healthier too.
It may sound extreme, to some, but I think an alcohol-free future is a brighter one for everybody.
