MEET “PROJECT ‘ASONARI’” :D
Ok lore time before I give context for the drawings:
G.U.N. Agents were exploring the ARK, even though it’s been 65 years since the incident had occurred, still looking for any useful scraps left of Dr.Gerald Robotnik’s notes, discoveries and experiments. They finally found the remaining’s of his notes on “Project ‘Shadow’”, still existing word for word in his handwriting. They sent it back to their scientists without wasting even a moment, assigning them to recreate the successful experimentation without getting Shadow’s DNA (they all know there would be more than destruction occurring at their stations). It took 7 years to finally get a single hedgehog’s heart to not stop within mere seconds or days. It was the only one still alive after everything the scientists have done to it. They made sure this one wasn’t a dead or fail, watching it grow rapidly for a whole month. Before they knew it, the simple Earth hedgehog was now part alien too, limbs grown, adorable despite its purpose to be alive. The doctors ran tests over and over again, precautions being taken on multiple occasions since they don’t know what Asonari was capable of.
He was kept in the lab at all times, surrounded by heartless doctors and agents, not knowing anything yet. Soon enough, at age 8, Asonari was assigned his first mission: to watch the Hedgehog family through the sons of Sonic and Shadow the Hedgehog, Skylar Hikari and Stryx Aurelio Hedgehog. Both sons were identical twins, with their own qualities and personalities. The job was easy at first for Asonari, even ended up getting into football as the team captain, opposing the basketball team with the twins as captain and co-captain. He didn’t know when it happened, he started…feeling emotions. Started small, and eventually got larger and larger by the day. He knew he wasn’t allowed to feel, but he fell for Skylar anyway. HARD. It was subtle, until it wasn’t, but most are blind to ever see them as anything but enemies. Except Stryx, he saw everything, being extremely observant. It was a very intense conversation for an 8 and 9 y/o, but I digress. Eventually him and Sky got together, completely secret relationship for YEARS, Asonari—or should I say—Sona almost keeps forgetting what his purpose was. No one ever suspected Sona as anything, not even Stryx.
And now no more spoilers of them shall be given until I draw again :3
CONTEXT FOR THE IMAGE:
Skylar (Age 10), Asonari (Age 11), Sona caught him off guard with a kiss on the cheek (Stryx saw it from afar cos he’s Stryx duh).
Skylar’s intersex, so he’s got them female parts, and used to “identify” as a female (didn’t exactly know he could be another gender until Sonic told him)

And we got the outline of it since I always start with traditional art!
