Last Sunday fellow Muslim brothers and sisters from an organization called Project Downtown organized a food drive for neighbors of all walks of life in the community. It felt good to see Muslims of various ages, & nationalities coming together to serve others. Project Downtown (P.D). is a national initiative by the Muslim Students Association (MSA) to serve urban communities. One of Project Downtown's other initiative's is an effort each Sunday in which Muslims volunteer their time to create bagged lunches which are distributed to the homeless in Over-The-Rhine Cincinnati.
While I am talking about Project Downtown I should mention that I've had the privilege of having an instrumental from my recent album JOURNEY: THE SOUND OF LIFE featured as background music in their first promo video which is embedded above.
