Designing the interface for Project Hyperlink. This will be where you do pretty much everything interesting that’s not physical.
So Here's the Latest
Hey, want to know what's going on with my projects? Well here you go!
I'll start with the bad news.
Project Last Watch is shelved:
Idea not unique enough,
not enough interest in the development,
may pick it up later if we get a better idea.
Project Lost Land is more or less halted:
Totally my fault. I can't think of any message for the game the way I had wanted it to be.
WarPhase Online is on vacation:
I really want to finish it though because it's the only way I'll ever get to play my board game with my friends.
It's just been a little frustrating fighting with PHP and SQL servers and I needed a break.
It will get finished though. Because I believe in this game!
Discovering Mars is suspended until further notice:
Who would actually play a text-based Mars exploration game, seriously.
I've been focusing more on learning C# and Twine is kind of distracting/confusing for that goal.
Not sure how to move it from "interesting concept" to "fun game that anyone would want to play."
Also, who would actually want to play a text-based Mars exploration game, especially with new fully-graphic-ed space exploration games coming out what feels like every other day?
Prophet of Gods won't happen this year:
Need to flesh out the idea better.
Also not sure how to move it from "interesting concept" to "fun game that anyone would want to play."
Alright. Whew! That's a lot of bad news and suspended games!
How about some good news now?
Project Hyperlink is kicking into high gear as our flagship game:
I'm writing up a more official Game Design Document for it using my template.
I'm separating my character and story information into a more coherent document where I can expand it more.
I'm going to create a worldbuilding document to keep track of everything I want to put in the game.
I'll be posting worldbuilding stuff more frequently on here.
Project Hyperlink will probably be titled "Felicity" or "Felicity: Hyperlink", still deciding.
The game takes place in the gigantic domed city of Felicity where all vehicular transportation has been eradicated, replaced with direct transport reminiscent of using a web browser, making it the most successful "green" city in modern history
The game world will be about as big as a real city, maybe Hong Kong-sized (or half that) and full of special content outside of the main story.
The gameplay is stealth-based, the story is detective/conspiracy, the world is (almost) completely open and any location can be accessed at any point in the game, and the main character is female.
The game is overly-ambitious, but I really think I can do it; I just need to have patience.
After finishing the GDD completely and coding a bit more, I'm going to be opening a devsofa so I can collaborate a bit more broadly.
So now you know!
If I'm talking about a game and I'm not doing a game jam, you can now know for certain that I'm talking about Project Hyperlink. I'll probably tag it with the title anyway, but just in case I don't, it's probably Project Hyperlink.
This has been the latest from Alamantus GameDev. I hope you have a lovely evening/day/whatever. :)
I made a quick model of what Allona could potentially look like in game… I’m a fan of the model style, so you can pretty much bet this is what I’m going to be doing. :)

And here’s Lukas, owner of the Gilded Henchman, the seedy bar where Allona works.
Hairy fellow with a heart of gold.
Concept art for Project Hyperlink…
The first concept art that I’ve ever personally drawn, actually. I’m not an artist and it looks terrible if you compare it to the work of real artists, but I like it and it represents me FINALLY coming up with a design for the main character, Allona.
