To all people who might ever start their own audioplay or voice project
Make sure you have a good production pipeline. The mistake of many projects is that the writers will be making episodes as they go, instead of completing an entire season 100% before releasing. Do not make episodes as you go. It only leads to high stress on both cast and crew, delays, production difficulties, and can be sloppy when you say "sorry for the delay" about something that should've been completed months ago. THAT AND ensure you have a clear way to determine who has their lines turned in and who doesn't. Google sheets is my new best friend and it saved production A LOT of time. BUILD YOUR WORLD BEFORE YOU START SCREENWRITING. BUILD YOUR CHARACTERS. WHO ARE YOUR CHARACTERS AND WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? For the love of whatever god you believe in: KEEP IN CONTACT WITH UR CAST AND CREW. Don't just leave a note somewhere that says "gone leaving." The number one way a cast loses interest in a project is when the director and person who CREATED the project suddenly disappears and is no longer able to be contacted and is just bippity boppity gone like ?????? That's so sloppy EDIT UR GODDAMN SCRIPTS. Mari and I always do at least two read throughs over call to see if anything sounds awkward or stupid. Editing is important and it's easy to tell when people have basically scratch dialogue instead of refined dialogue Anyway, I'm really passionate about helping people do creative projects since I'm an animation student and it's really nice to see people wanting to dabble in our industry.
