16. What is the theme? Space is a terrifying place. Destiny is what you make of it (unless Something is involved). Stay away from giant robots. 

20. Tell us about your usual writing method! AAHAHHA….ksjalda I use coloured pens and my notebook. I have bits and ideas written all over but once I decide on a project I try to do a general recap of the story. I use different highlighters when juxtaposing scenes and for changing POV. For more ambitious projects I do a timeline of events. I also should use sticky notes more. Then I cry a lot at a blank screen.

2. What is your novel’s aesthetic? Sci-fi! And hmmm Aliens? I want to say some neon feels because NEON FEELS but not so much. What comes to mind a little is films like Sunshine, Alien, that kinda aesthetic. With a bit of horror aesthetic too.

17. Where is the story set? (Share a description!) Space, for the most part and a futuristic Earth too, but less so. I don’t have much of a description yet. GOD THIS IS GOING TO BE A DISASTER PROJECT RIP.

3. What other stories inspire your novel? Gundam, Pacific Rim, Alien!

5. Who is your protagonist? Trainee E. (seriously why do I keep picking E-names for my protagonists) was born on a colony, he is fairly average. Good family, decent life, rip.

7. What do they want more than anything? This is a very good question that I have no idea. I mean, technically, he what he wants is rebellion and freedom… I think.

8. Why can’t they have it? Because they fell into a giant robot cockpit and now are very stuck. This is only partially metaphorical.

15. Do you know how it ends? No……….. this is embarrassing but lkasjaklsdjka i have absolutely 0 idea. I want it to end well but …

I just realized I reblogged that post from you lmao so!! 1, 4, 11, and 19!

1.  Describe your novel in 1-2 sentences (elevator pitch). Aspiring Trainee falls into the cockpit of a giant robot and has a lot of regrets. Meanwhile, the universe is imploding and please do not disturb the aliens.

4. Share 3+ images that give a feel for your novel. 1 2 3 4 5 !

11. What is the internal conflict? Several depending on who we are focusing on, but if we take the Aspiring Trainee it is their morals vs their inner wishes. And the whole ‘careful what you wish for because you might get it’ and it might not be what you expected. They volunteered for this training program because they thought it was the right thing to do… however ‘right thing to do’ isn’t always what should be done. Or what one really wants deep down.19. What excited you about this story? ….giant robots…….giant robots GIANT ROBOTS….. alsdjak i’ve been wanting to write a story revolving around robots in space for years…. it is self indulgent and cliche and dumb maybe but….i really want it.
