[ not my image ] found out about the tamagotchi smart 25th anniversary party version with the shell color that’s a very good indigo shade for dreamtchi (arguably this is purple. that’s fine i cannot for the life of me find blue shells).
glitter faceplate would be fine, but i’d still replace it with a constellations and stars theme, and find a good silicone case to protect it and allow for charms (but not too necessary with the shell color being blue/purple).
Wait. This video i’m watching has their tamagotchi Smart in a tamagotchi Uni CASE. I didn’t know they fit.
i am too attached to both sillytchi and dreamtchi, something i wasn’t expecting to happen. i think “the dreamtchi project” will now extend to both, being renamed “project silly dreams”. i intend to mod two tamagotchi smarts, one for each of them. probably not simultaneously as that may become pricey, but i have waited to budget for this modding stuff for so long that i am willing to make some financial sacrifices so that i can finally make this real
breaking my brain trying to figure out how i would print and cut out a custom faceplate. did not occur to me i could just. take the one inside the smart and paint over it, then just Put It Back. am i stupid
replacing the faceplate of a tamagotchi smart looks daunting, but i should be ok i think. i’m not too tech savvy but i know my way around some hardware at least. since it requires pulling the whole thing apart, i am also considering replacing the buttons, maybe even the whole shell if i find a deep blue.
i will probably make my own faceplate design, but i did find this one from gotchi garden that fits dreamtchi’s aesthetic very well.
i plan to get the mint blue shell, but would still like a case that matches better IF i can’t replace the shell fully. for cases this shop seems to have a good dark blue one (hard to find this despite there being so many cases for the other gens). will edit if i find a better one of silicone and with a chain loop
i intend to draw a custom room for dreamtchi and some foods, but for tama sma cards i like the rainbow friends version as a lot of it is already matching the aesthetic. a little more pastel than dreamtchi, but matches the dream-like sky themes.
and then the phone charm, which i’ll have the materials for soon :0) but this time with resin instead of outsourcing (i’m buying maude/ishikorotchi’s from vograce since it’ll be a while before i can use the shrink wrap method).
there is a white nizoo collab version that comes with everything but no listings specify if a charger comes with it, and as some of you might know, the correct charger is ESSENTIAL so as not to fry and destroy the device. don’t wanna risk it. but if it’s new it has to come with a charger right?? idk
ohh that’s tempting. that is incredibly tempting
