Today is the first Tuesday of Phase 2 reopening when customers can sit down and eat at F&B outlets. Tampines coffeeshops waste no time to resume Project 215 today to offer senior citizens kopi or teh at 50 cents a cup. Project 215 was launched in 2016 when coffeeshops in Tampines North offered senior citizens kopi or teh at 50 cents a cup every Tuesday morning. It has since expanded to more than 20 participating coffeeshops across whole of Tampines. Project 215 was launched in 2016 where coffeeshops in Tampines North offer senior citizens kopi or teh at 50 cents a cup every Tuesday morning. Now into its fourth year, it has expanded to more than 20 participating coffeeshops in the whole of Tampines. So far, our senior citizens have enjoyed more than 60,000 discounted cups! Unfortunately Project 215 has to be suspended during the Circuit Breaker period when there is now no dine-in. Let’s observe the CB measures strictly so that we can lift the restrictions sooner rather than later. Auntie started working at Food Loft Coffeeshop at Tampines Blk 476 a couple of months ago. She noted more cups to clear on Tuesday morning. This is because Food Loft is a supporter of Project 215. Tomorrow is the first Tuesday of 2020. Every Tuesday morning, seniors holding Silver PAssion card, Senior citizen concession card, Pioneer Generation (PG) or Merdeka Generation (MG) card, get to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea for just 50cents, as part of Project 215. Since Project 215 started in November 2016, more than 43,000 cups of 50cents coffee have been sold in Tampines North alone. It has been a good way for us to thank our seniors for their contributions. Were you at our KopiTalk session last Saturday? ☕ Speaking of Kopi, one participant shared that he enjoys having 50 cents kopi at our Tampines coffeeshops on Tuesday mornings, 7 to 11am. This is under Project 215 – seniors get to enjoy the perk just by showing their Silver PAssion card at participating stalls. #Project215 started in 2016 with 9 participating coffeeshops in Tampines North. Every Tuesday morning, seniors could get one cup of kopi or teh at 50cents at participating coffee shops. This was well-received, and the project expanded to more coffee shops. Just in 2018, about 45,000 discounted cups have been sold to our seniors! 👏😁 I’m glad that our community continues to care for our seniors. I’m also happy to share that ‪from 1 January 2019‬ onwards, there will be a total of 20 coffee shops across Tampines joining this project and offering our seniors discounted coffee and tea on Tuesdays. Held an appreciation dinner to thank the coffee shops in Tampines North for their support of Project 215. Since its inception in Nov 2016, these nine shops have offered almost 30,000 discounted cups to our senior citizens! Under Project 215, every Tuesday (2) morning, one (1) cup of hot beverage costs only 50 (5) cents for our senior residents! Just show your Pioneer Generation card or PAssion Silver Concession Card to enjoy a cup of Kopi, Kopi-O, Teh or Teh-O at just 50 cents from 7am to 11am.
