This month’s coffee refill is the highlight of my day. Also tried out another function on our new rice cooker so I had cheese corn and sweet potato for dinner.
03052021 Sunrise. Good morning to you too😉
0302021 It’s already March but they still sell these Christmas delicacies in the streets. I’m so happy about it😝
Holiday work situation.
Every 9th of April, our country celebrates Valor Day which gives recognition to all the brave men and women who were forced to endure the Bataan Death March during the Japanese invasion. It is said that more than 60 miles were marched by 76,000 prisoners. The march lasted for 6 days which, under extreme heat, starvation and harsh treatment, over 20,000 died.
Sadly, decades after colonialism, a lot of our soldiers and countrymen are still fighting a battle for freedom and ownership. As I scroll through Twitter today, I saw a trend that really shocked and infuriated me - a local boat was chased down by a foreign military vessel inside our own exclusive economic zone. How is it possible that the perpetrators were not captured immediately? How can a foreign country hold this much power over our own country’s territory? With the overwhelming debts we seemed to have with this foreign country, right now, the possible answer to these questions is frustrating. I think about how our fishermen are going through with the current situation that greatly affects their livelihood and as a civilian, it gets harder not to think of the possibility of suppression and invasion by foreign countries even during these modern times. I can only trust that a proper course of action will be taken by the officers in charge and all those at fault be held accountable.
Here’s to hoping we’ll achieve complete freedom and never have to live in fear for our safety in our country.
I might be posting a lot more Zoro photos in the future :D
I’ve had quite a busy Saturday. I have planned an entirely different day but oh well... things happen. Still thankful for work though :)
