Bottle Drive
Thank you to everyone who came out despite the pouring rain to deliver flyers and then, again in pouring rain, collect the bottles! And thank you for the parent drivers who braved the rain and volunteered their time to help.
Many thanks as well to the individuals of the communities of Greenfield and Terwillegar for putting out so many bottles for us to take to the bottle depot! Also thanks to those who donated supplies as well.
And shoutout to the Triple H Bottle Depot for bringing over a large truck and counting the bottles for us on such short notice.
Much love to everyone X
Update: Bottle Drive Area
We will be increasing the areas that we are covering to the Terwilligar area as well! We’ll be providing more updates about the exact details later. The flyers for the bottle drive will also be up later! X
Hi there! We're just dropping by to say thank you in regards to your reblog and the new information! Looks like our information in regards to the Red Cross's negative ratings might've been outdated then. Super awesome to have new information. X
No worries, it’s also possible that it was mixed up with the american red cross, which is much more inefficient in comparison.I’m glad your charity is getting traction though. both monetary and immediate support is needed and we all need to work together to support those displaced by this disaster. My sister, SIL, and father were all lucky enough to simply come home here to PG, but so many are in evac centres etc waiting and every little bit helps
Oh wow, we'd just like to say a big thank you for sharing our student-led charity! Although like the submitter mentioned about being skeptical about the Red Cross due to troubling information and press, we still think that people should donate or do anything, even if it's little, to help the evacuees as the aid still reaches them. #AlbertaStrong and much love from Project Avengers! X
Happy to share and good luck with your charity! :)
