Luka’s deep laugh ricocheted through the plane as he smiled at her nickname for him and the fact that she wouldn’t regret singing that stupid obnoxious song to wake him up. ‘Oh she is gonna regret it all right,’ he thought with a grin on his face that showed just how tired and irritable he was right then and there, but also it displayed how much she really did break down the barriers he had put up for himself so long ago. Opening his silver eyes, his gaze was still fixed on her as she called him Luka-sama and he smirked feeling very arrogant for asking her to call him such a high honorific but he laughed at his own selfishness and want to hear that come from her lips. “You know, it’s nicer than I ever thought it would be to be called that, but honestly I don’t care… I’m just giving you a hard time because im drugged up e and tired as fuck from this sedative. You will learn that I spout nonsense just as much as any normal person would when they are tired.” Walking with her, he nodded his head to go to the attendant to process his visa and exchange his yen. Surprisingly the jobless vampire was pretty weighed down in cash than he seemed and even the customs woman had to take a look at the 500,000¥ he had stuffed in his wallet that he had stored away from his years of looting. The woman even had to go get more money from the back just to give him the right amount of american dollars but before she could go back to get him the $3000 she owed him in exchange, he stopped her and told her that $1000 was enough and shoved the rest of his unconverted yen back into his wallet separated from the USD that he had just accumulated. Luka stood behind Ava and eyed the man and when he felt his woman’s hand brush against his, he glanced at her with soft silver eyes hidden behind his sunglasses before looking back at the customs man and was cursing god that this man couldn’t see the look he was giving him and the threat he posed to him for even touching her the way he had. It had the tired, soundless vampire boiling inside but he could do nothing before he followed Ava out and rolled their bags behind him to the pickup area after they had claimed their baggage. It was only when her heartbeat picked up that he was prepared minimally for the pull that Ava gave him and he stood there looking around the corner at the men and women with microphones waiting for her but he wondered why she never went around wearing masks to avoid being recognized. It was odd to him that she didn’t know this, but maybe it was because she was raised in this country and not in Japan so the customs of celebrities are different. “You should invest in face masks, they hide everything and people can’t identify you based on your eyes and hair. I use masks when im prepared to be out in the sun and in public during the day; it hides my scar the best it can and sunglasses help with it, but no one can tell who I am unless they know me…” He spoke quietly to Ava and smiled for a second before that smile fell as he ripped around and let loose a growl in his throat at the customs agent that alerted them of their presence.
The black haired vampire did not care if people saw his fangs, he was too tired to realize the consequences, and even looked the camera’s dead in the eye with a snarl before the light flashed and he stumbled slightly as his left eye became blinded by the black dots and he frantically felt around for Ava beside him so he wouldn’t freak out. Over and over again he kept mumbling about not being able to see from the flash that may not have been bad but to him, it was just as bad as a night creature looking at the sun without any sunglasses or protection from the sun for a long period of time. He was nocturnal and his eyes were not used to such harsh flashes and that was what caused his left eye to fall blind temporarily. His hand found Ava’s shoulder and eventually after a few shakes of his head, Luka blinked rapidly and regained just enough of his already limited eyesight in order to see her in front of him and kissed her forehead before the mask was slipped back on his face and the two situated themselves to make the dash to the car. With Ava tucked under his trench coat, Luka couldn’t help but brandish a smile under the mask he was wearing again, and he walked her to the taxi and helped her in first before he put their stuff in the trunk. He was not expecting the reporters to completely bombard her at the window and he yelled “FUCK OFF!” in Japanese and let out a growl again before walking briskly towards them and immediately they stepped away from the window and left her alone for a while, while taking photos of the mysterious man who was personally threatening them for bugging her and the man who was escorting her. They tried to talk to him as he climbed into the car but simply removed the glasses, glared at them and slammed the door behind him with such force that it almost shattered the windows. Already pissed off the max, the black haired man took a sigh and put up the shades on the taxi window and removed the mask as well, placing them in Ava’s purse so he wouldn’t forget them. With the dark interior of the taxi, the light was not as harsh on his eyes as it had been outside. Within minutes he had sunk down into the seat before feeling Ava pressed up against him and smiled, kissing her cheek before laying his head back on the headrest. “What a way to start our trip…” He mumbled and opened his eyes slightly to see the scenery changing and the reporters disappearing; little did he know that they would be all over the front of every national newspaper in America: “Heiress and her Mysterious Vampire” “Vampire and Human; Is Ava Judd dating a monster?” “Ava Judd has a friend! And he bites, quite literally!”
