John and Alecto are both Prometheus, with necromancy filling the role of fire.

Alecto gave necromacy only to John, but John did something in the Resurrection so that other humans would have necromancy, even though Alecto's inner monologue shows that she'd deliberately given this gift only to him.

And Alecto, who gave necromancy to John, a human - a divine being giving something powerful to a mortal. And John, who is also a metaphor for Zeus, chaining her to a rock for her trouble.

I imagined Esidisi being like Prometheus. (Prometheus brought fire to humanity; thus, leading to the advancement of civilization)

While the gods punished Prometheus, Esidisi now seems a little salty towards humans. 🤔 Wonder if he regrets assisting.

Day 8 - Mythology

Prometheus was punished by Zeus for bringing fire to mankind, and sentenced to an eternal torment. Bound to a rock, every day an eagle comes by and eats his liver, only for the organ to regrow overnight.
