In third grade, my eyes were opened to what was possible in a kid's lunch. A vow was made then that would eventually lead to the real find, but there were some painful lessons along the way.

Drop of tear and water

Hazy morning,

misty eyes,

creamy surfaced cloud,

dotted blue sky,

ships mooring at bay,

flapped wings,

at the cusp of dawn,

smoldering lip,

sensual caress smearing the skin,

tears washed ashore,

beliefs lost and found,

drowned into unexpressed and unquenched sentimentality,

hope and promises,

where the mind meets inlet waves,

crashing at the surface,

a single drop,

tear and water.

Tomorrow I'll behave the same as today

This is my new mantra. Inspired by the book "The Procrastination Equation" by Piers Steel, I'm beginning to recognise how some of the negative behaviors I let myself fall prey to cause the problems they do. This mantra fits both sides. Positive action today is more likely to beget positive action tomorrow. But the converse is, sadly, all the more true. An excuse written today will be recycled tomorrow.
