The importance of having your CV Proofread
What is a Curriculum Vitae? Similar to a resume; however, it contains a lot more detail, is longer, and may be the most important document you can present to a potential employer for a research, academic educational, or scientific position. It is therefore, extremely important that it be free from errors and presented in a professional, attractive and impressionable way.
You may be the only one to actually proofread and verify actual data such as names, dates, and awards, but someone else should also go over it with a fine tooth comb, (a.k.a. proofing software); spell and grammar check for one. You should also make sure it runs only two pages, (three pages max if you have an impressive amount of awards, publications or achievements), should use brief, concise verbiage, and be consistent throughout, and logical and above all else be relevant.
Nothing would do more harm to an impressive CV, than obvious spelling errors or incomplete sentences or data that is not relevant or correct. Your CV is your personal presentation; it is what will gain you an interview and generate interest in meeting you.
