It never ceases to amaze me how DUMB Tom Sykes is. He has fully bet his newsletter's future on the information he receives from THE KP TITANIC.
I mean, how dare King Charles do his job after William was on vacation for two weeks! It's not as if William could have done an investiture during the last two weeks of October, and it's not as if his aunt, The Princess Royal, has privately complained about William not doing enough investitures.
The Royalist has learned that Prince William “was left hurt and angry” after his father — of all people — stole the spotlight from him last week, staging a headline-grabbing investiture for David Beckham as William’s Earthshot Awards were kicking off in Brazil.
For William, who has spent five years turning the prize into his signature platform, the timing, even though the investiture was long scheduled, was more than a clash of diaries; it was seen, according to friends, as a deliberate snub.
The decision by King Charles to knight Beckham on Tuesday— fourteen years after his name was first floated for the honor — was greeted by William’s friends with disbelief.
“Of all weeks,” one friend of William’s told The Royalist, “this was the one week he needed the family to be pulling for him. Instead, it felt like they were pulling against him. He was left hurt and angry.”
Do William's "friends" also not have jobs? Do they also take 20 WEEKS OF VACATION per year? Do they not understand that being monarch is a full-time job? That Charles has always worked more than his lazy, adult sons?
Are William's "friends" also a bunch of babies? Do they not realize they're making themselves and their "friend," William, look extremely insecure and infantile?
“The family sabotaged it from beginning to end,” the William friend said. “It was pathetic, like the worst of the bad old days.”
On the day his plane landed, Prince Harry’s team announced a parallel, quasi–royal tour of Canada, scheduled—miraculously—to overlap with William’s itinerary. Meghan Markle’s PR team then leaked news of her “return to acting” to The Sun midweek, instantly derailing British coverage of the Earthshot Prize.
“In any normal world,” said one newspaper executive, “William would have been the royal story of the week. But Beckham and Meghan’s comeback swallowed the headlines. The entire British Royal press corps was in Brazil, and somehow none of it mattered.”
Boo fucking hoo! If William actually WORKED more regularly, then perhaps he wouldn't be whining to his friends about his spotlight being "swallowed" by other people.
“David Beckham had waited fifteen years,” said a former courtier. “And they had to do it this week? When you think of how gracious William had been, paying tribute to his father’s work in his speech, it’s a slap in the face. I’m afraid Charles still can’t bear not to be the center of attention. If he couldn’t be at COP30 himself, then nobody else was allowed to have the moment.”
Was this quote from Jason Knauf? Is William mad because William only does the investitures with famous people instead of the less famous people King Charles & Princess Anne consistently recognize? Do we need to review the investiture numbers, and how little William does?
Or perhaps David Beckham decided he wanted to do it in early November? Does recipient choice even matter?
The King’s allies insist it was a coincidence without malice. “His Majesty is immensely proud of his son’s work,” a friend of Charles’s told the Daily Beast. “Investitures are scheduled months in advance.”
One friend of the King’s, however, did concede that there is an “increasingly delicate” father-son dynamic, dramatically worsened by William’s open contempt for the shambolic way his father handled the ex-Prince Andrew crisis and continues to handle the Harry issue.
Yeah, I bet there's a "delicate father-son dynamic." William and THE KP TITANIC have been pretending King Charles is going to die all year in an attempt to save their asses. Further, they've chosen to undermine King Charles this entire fall by pretending the decisions KCIII made were really by William.
Since the King’s terminal cancer diagnosis, the balance of royal power has shifted. William is now increasingly demanding the right to lead long-term planning, public messaging, and—crucially—crisis management.
As the friend put it: “The change of reign is happening in real time, whether they admit it or not.”
Charles, however, has no intention of fading into the background. He insists on maintaining a full public schedule, sometimes to the alarm of Camilla and his doctors, and he guards the symbols of kingship—audiences, investitures, the odd glittering photo call—as fiercely as ever. Friends say that having waited his whole life for this role, he’s not about to start taking instruction from anyone, even his son.

That defiance has spilled into more consequential matters—none more telling than the fate of Prince Andrew. For years, Charles had dithered over how to deal with his disgraced brother, refusing to strip him of his HRH or push him out of Royal Lodge.
It was William who finally forced the issue.
“William’s view was simple,” says a friend of the Prince. “As long as Andrew remained a royal in any sense, the institution would never be clean. Charles kept saying it wasn’t possible or wasn’t the right time. William thought that was weak and pushed for the nuclear option. He was right about Andrew, and he is right about Harry, too.”
Charles didn't "dither." He just waited until the timing was right. William can't even fire incompetent communications staff such as Lee Thompson.
Charles has been thinking about how to slim down the monarchy for more than 25 years. William is whining through his "friends" about his spotlight being stolen, but he's so tough that all the good ideas are supposedly his?
In the end, Andrew’s HRH went in a matter of days, revealing that the years of paralysis from Charles were a matter of a failure of political will, not legal strictures.
For William, it was proof that a lack of decisive leadership had damaged the monarchy. For Charles, it was another bruising reminder that his heir can now overrule him when it matters.
That tension—between the father who can’t relinquish power and the son who has already seized it—now defines their relationship.
Oh, we're going to be discussing William's "lack of decisive leadership" and "damag[ing] the monarchy" very, very soon. Did this "friend" of William not think about how he's not making things better for William but WORSE with these comments?
In fact, let's not forget that "friends" of William have been outing Charles's plans to "journalists" such as Tom Sykes and pretending they're William's plans instead of Charles's.

Prince Andrew was publicly humiliated yesterday, forced to renounce his ducal title, and is now a duke only in memory.
Buckingham Palace is furiously spinning the stripping of his titles as the personification of a resolute monarch, but let’s be very clear: the practical author of Andrew’s public annihilation is his nephew, the Prince of Wales.
The announcement may have come from the office of the king, but it was William who wrote the latest chapter (one dare not say the ending because I’m told William still believes too many privileges remain to Andrew).
William can't take the lead on doing more investitures than his aunt. He can't do more engagements than his father, The King. He can't take LESS than 20 WEEKS of vacation per year. He can't travel overseas on behalf of the UK Foreign Office.
However, if something major was completed by his father's office via months of work by his father's staff, THEN we're all supposed to believe--in the world according to Tom Sykes--that William was responsible even though William does not even have a reputation for attention to detail on his own personal pet projects.
THE KP TITANIC really likes to spin the work of BP and KCIII as their own. My personal favorite is "Friends of the Prince" telling Tom Sykes about how a letters patent is going to be issued regarding titles and styles, except they spun it as William's idea instead of Charles's.
Completely outing KCIII's plan less than a month before his 77th birthday.
Prince William will strip Prince Andrew, along with all other non-working royals, of their HRHs and princely titles when he ascends to the throne, friends and allies of the Prince have told The Royalist.
The dramatic change will be effected by an executive royal order known as “letters patent” ratified by Parliament in the early weeks of the reign of King William V. It will remove princely titles not just from Andrew but also from Beatrice, Eugenie, Harry, Archie, and Lilibet. The children of Prince Edward and Princess Anne have never used princely titles.
Meghan and Harry will also see their dukedoms and HRHs formally revoked by the new king, the source said. Meghan continues to use her HRH despite being ordered not to do so by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
A source said William’s own children may have their titles informally “parked” until they become adults and can decide for themselves if they want to be full-time working royals or lead lives as private citizens. The source said they are never addressed as prince or princess in any situation by their parents, teachers, staff, or family.
There you have it. That's King Charles's plan, which he has been thinking about and refining for more than 25 years, and here is Tom Sykes writing about it AS IF William is going to do it AS IF it were William's idea!

First, Peter and Zara were never going to be able to inherit titles because they pass through the male-line, and Mark Philips & Princess Anne declined Mark receiving a title upon marriage. Second, Louise and James have always been styled as the children of an earl and now a duke because Edward and Sophie have always known about Charles's plan to slim down the monarchy. The Edinburghs have known this since before they even got married!
Just this week, the king’s own aides were briefing the media that it was not worth removing the dukedom, as “prince” sounded grander than “duke” anyway.
As an ally of William’s told The Royalist: “On Wednesday, the king’s office was saying that removing the dukedom would be a completely lame and ineffectual gesture unless you took away the prince title as well. On Friday, it’s suddenly the other way round, and persuading him to drop the duke title, without even taking it away, is being held up as a triumph of the king’s steely will. His operation is a mess.”
The problem with Andrew is that most people around the world only think peerage titles are for royals, and they don't realize that only parliament can remove them because they are hereditary property. The major focus was on reducing Andrew's status because when KCIII issues his letters patent, BP & KCIII will want the focus on the letters patent and not whether or not Andrew received enough "punishment" or not.
The whole Andrew spectacle was handled separately from the letters patent and slimming down the monarchy because there is another, larger issue that is going to need addressing. BP & KCIII know they can't unload it all at one time, which is why Andrew was handled in October, coinciding with Virginia Giuffre's book and other Epstein news.
Another friend of William’s, who told The Royalist about the plan to remove a huge swathe of princely titles, said: “It should have been done by Charles this week, but William knows he doesn’t have the strength because of his illness. William is understanding of his father’s situation. William won’t be afraid to take the next step.”
They added: “William thinks about Queen Margrethe of Denmark a lot.”
Oh, did William talk to his "friend" about how Queen Margrethe no longer has to do royal duties? And that he also wishes he could be retired? Because that sounds more like William than all of his "friends" pretending he's going to be the bestest king EVAH!
In a recent interview with the Canadian actor and comedian Eugene Levy, William said he wanted to ensure the institution he will one day lead was “fit for purpose,” saying: “Change is on my agenda. Change for good. I don’t fear it.”
Oh is it? Because I would bet serious money that William's reputation is going to change permanently for the worse in the very near future.
I'm always amazed at how many communication sins William and THE KP TITANIC keep committing with this schtick. As if BP courtiers couldn't just shank them all with one announcement that William has been too chickenshit to make.
Then there's Tom Sykes soaking it all up because he's too dumb to realize that he got kicked out of the BP WhatsApp group. He wouldn't listen to the more grounded reality coming out of BP instead of the constant lies and obfuscation coming out of THE KP TITANIC. Tommy Boy chose to believe the ego-driving lies by THE KP TITANIC's comms team because they convinced him that Charles is going to die soon.
A hell of a choice to make as an "independent journalist" when Charles has more than five years to live. Someone is going to have a LOT of explaining to do to his readers for propagating this bullshit.
