Emma Nolan grew up in a loving home with parents who strived to give her the best life they could. She was an ordinary young woman who wanted to travel the world, but the life she lead was not at all ordinary like other women. She was known to the public as Princess Emma, which was a title the blonde hated most of all. Emma was grateful to have everything her parents provided her with, but there was something missing in her life. The life she lived in Denmark often bored her when it came to royal duties and functions she had to attend.
As a way for her to be alone from the world outside the castle walls, Emma often found a sanctuary in her bedroom where she could be herself without anyone telling her what she had to do or where she had to be. It was in that moment Emma decided to take advantage of her dream to travel the world by flying to America in hopes to clear her head. Once her plane ticket had been purchased, bags packed, and gained approval from her parents, the princess was on her way to a foreign land as an exchange student at a local college in the small town of Storybrooke.
Emma found it difficult to find her way around the town and the campus alone was challenging. The young blonde had to ask for help finding her dorm. Following directions given to her for her first class didn’t seem to help either. As Emma looked down to follow the next set of directions, she turned the corner and immediately ran into a young man that resulted in her falling to the ground. “I.. I’m sorry. I should have been looking where I was going instead of looking at this stupid paper. Are you alright?” This was not the way the young woman wanted to make a first impression.
