Mangle showing proper vs improper prong placement. - The prong collar should be snug and placed high on the neck sitting behind the jaw and ears. When prong collars are loose on the neck you have to perform a more dramatic correction. There is also always a chance that a prong collar can become loose and fall apart so using a backup collar or prong collar leash is encouraged.
