imani blinked slowly, the sudden hum of silence louder than it should've been. her fingers hovered over the lifeless panel before she let out a breath, steady but sharp. she glanced at them, studying their expression in the dim emergency light. "guess we're stuck," she said, voice low but calm. the air felt heavier now, thick with static and nerves. sliding down to sit in the corner, she added, "hope you're not the panicking type. 'cause one of us has to keep it together."
