Idk what person with chronic illness needs to hear this, but you can do things to make your responsibilities nicer for yourself. You can get an ice cream after a blood draw. You can sit down for tv time after an injection. You can pick out the bandaids that have cartoon characters on them instead of the plain ones. Being an adult doesn’t stop you from benefiting from encouragement. Go for whatever fits with your routine/abilities/budget and makes life a little better. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down etc etc
Sending love to everyone who has health issues or chronic pain in parts of your body that aren’t usually socially acceptable to talk about. It’s frustrating to feel like you can never explain your pain to someone because it’s TMI and to feel like you have to hide it. Your pain is nothing to be ashamed of. I see you, and I’m sending you support and strength.
Hot war criminal girlies have IBS💕
Chronic pain is so exasperatingly frustrating to live with. It’s so hard to plan around, so hard to get anything done at all. Makes an already bad day much worse, and makes it incredibly hard to be present and nondissociated enough to enjoy the good things in life.
where my real shitters at?
If you live with debilitating stomach pain I see you, if you live with debilitating nausea I see you, if you live with a debilitating chronic illness I see you.
Truth be told most days as of lately I wanna give up. The idea of living with this body, a body that feels like so often is failing me, for the rest of my life sounds a level of exhausting I can’t even fully comprehend. Not only that, but people don’t talk how truly isolating it can be to live with an illnsss that affects your everyday life. An illness that affects your work life, social life, romantic life, literally all of it. If you’re someone who also finds yourself in this boat please know you aren’t alone. You’re not crazy, it’s not all just in your head, and your pain and symptoms are more than valid. I see you and you’re not alone.
