When Allah tests you and you pass the test, Allah honors you by giving you the opportunity to serve His religion. Allah honors you by giving you a chance to do work that will earn good deeds and through others following you, your good deeds are multiplied even more.

Think about what Ibrahim عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام and his son, Ismael عَلَیهِ‌السَّلام, did. They raised the foundations of the Kaaba thousands of years ago. From then until now and until the Last Day, every time a tear falls from looking at that structure, every time someone puts their head down on the ground facing that structure, every time someone says "Allahu Akbar" anywhere in the world, and for every brick in every masjid ever built, those two Prophets have a copy of the reward in their book. Allah gave them this honor because they passed some serious and difficult tests. Subhanallah.

كشفت قصة إبراهيم – عليه السّلام – عن ملامح الشخصية السويّة القدوة التي ينبغي أن تكون المثل الأعلى في الالتزام بالإسلام، قال تعالى: {إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا} (البقرة:124)، وقال تعالى: {إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةً} (النحل:120)، وقال تعالى: {وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى} (النجم:37), أصبح إبراهيم – عليه السّلام – رمزاً من رموز التوحيد في عصره، وفي كل العصور، قال تعالى: {وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ} (الزخرف:28)

وقد أوصى إبراهيم بنيه وذريته بتلك الكلمة، فاستجابوا له وقاموا بإبلاغها إلى الأجيال من بعده، وظلت كلمة التوحيد “لا إله إلا الله” متصلة في أعقابه وقام عليها من بعده رسل متصلون لا ينقطعون حتى كان ابنه الأخير من نسل إسماعيل – عليه السّلام – وأشبَه أبنائه به محمد (صلّى الله عليه وسلّم) خاتم الرسل الذي دعا إلى التوحيد وإفراد العبادة لله عزّ وجل، وحارب الكفر والشرك بكل أنواعه وأشكاله.

أظهرت قصة إبراهيم – عليه السلام – بأن دين الأنبياء جميعاً هو التوحيد الخالص والدين الحنيف من لدّن إبراهيم – عليه السّلام – حتى محمد (صلّى الله عليه وسلّم)، وهذا يعمق ثقة المسلمين بدينهم أنه أحسن دين، قال تعالى: {مِلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ} ]الحج:78[، وقال تعالى: {وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًا مِمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ وَاتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا} (النساء:125)

وقال تعالى: {ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ} (يوسف:40), وبيّنت القصة أيضاً أن أي انحراف عن التوحيد الخالص يفقد الإنسان صلته بالأنبياء حتى ولو كانوا حقيقة من صلبهم فهذا إبراهيم – عليه السّلام – يتبرأ من أبيه عندما انحرف من دينه التوحيد: {فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ} (التوبة:114)،

فكيف بالمنحرفين عن دين إبراهيم – عليه السّلام – في الأجيال اللاحقة؟. وهكذا تكون قصة إبراهيم – عليه السّلام – رداً على كل منحرف عن دين التوحيد كالعرب المشركين واليهود والنصارى الذين انحرفوا عن رسالة موسى وعيسى – عليهما السلام – واستغلّوا الدين في إضفاء شيء من القدسية عليهم لقيادة البشرية.
