to this day this is absolutely the funniest interaction i have ever had regarding any of my fics ever by a huge margin. nothing will ever come close to this. there's literally no dead dove content in it and i also used it to make some comments about how fucked up the irl idol industry can be and i actively had an idea of putting in a character almost getting molested but decided to remove it because i thought there was no need for it, like i've made this specifically rated T and then THIS happened. i thought about putting the scene in for like a week lmao
anyways i was talking about this with friend so fuck it might as well share a funny with the rest of the site

Toodles has a nightmare - 8party fluff fanfic
Toodles sat up from her bed abruptly, the contents of her nightmare jolting her awake. She clutched her dog plush tightly, her breathing fast and shallow.
“Is Astro mad at me…?” She whispered to herself softly. Her and the moon didn’t talk much, but when they did she felt as though he was annoyed by her presence. She wiped the sweat from her face and swung her legs over the edge of her bed, facing the door.
“I don’t wanna go back to sleep….maybe Rodger’s awake!” She hopped to the floor and walked quickly to his room. The walk wasn’t long as they shared the same hallway.
She approached the door, knocking softly as to not wake anyone else up.
No answer.
Hesitantly, she knocked again. A tad louder.
No answer.
“Rodger..?” She called out his name softly.
No response.
She sighed. He must’ve fallen asleep while working again. She tried the door handle, which, to her dismay, was locked.
“Toodles?”
Toodles whipped around, tightening her grip on her plush.
“O-oh! You scared me Yatta!” She felt her cheeks get red as she avoided her gaze.
“Whatcha doin up so late lil buddy?” Yatta rocked back and forth, cocking her head to the side.
“I just had a bad dream…”
“Well that’s no fun…OH! I GOT A GREAT IDEA!” Yatta yelled excitedly. Toodles looked around nervously.
“We can have a super duper fun SLEEPOVERRRR!” The piñata jumped in excitement before grabbing toodles’ hand and taking her into her room.
The room was messy, covered in party decor and random acrobat costumes. Her bed was a bunch of beanbags and pillows piled together into a huge nest-like thing that covered almost half of the room. Woah, toodles thought. She’s so cool…
Suddenly, she was hit with a big white pillow, spreading feathers everywhere.
“PILLOW FIGHHTT!”
Toodles shrieked in a joyful, playful way, setting her dog plush on the floor to watch as she ran to grab a pillow from yattas bed. She hurled it into the air, the pillow colliding with yattas. The two laughed and chased eachother, toodles slowly grabbing the upper hand.
“Your getting too good at this…it looks like I’m gonna have to use my special attack!”
Yatta lunged forward and began to tickle toodles, sending her into a laughing frenzy.
“THATS CHEATINGGGAHAHA!” Toodles struggled to speak as she was brutally tickle attacked. The pair fell into the mess of beanbags and pillows, laughing hysterically.
The attack worked its magic, and soon toodles was so tuckered out she was forced to surrender. Yatta jumped up in pride, sticking her fist into the air.
“YES! I WON!”
She looked down at toodles, who was staring at her in tired adoration. Yattas heart began to flutter, a slight blush appearing on her cheeks.
“Heh…looks like someone’s about to fall asleep.” She crawled into the bed alongside toodles, laying on her back. Toodles sluggishly began crawling on top of her, resting her head on her chest and almost immediately falling asleep.
Yattas heart skipped a beat, carefully placing her hand on the 8-balls lower back.
She is so cute… yatta thought to herself as she rubbed her back gently. The piñata drifted off to sleep, soothed by the sound of toodles’ soft breathing and heartbeat.
i h8 when ppl read a fic THAT THEY KNOW HAZ SMTH THEY DONT LIKE then proceed 2 harass the writer for writing it even though it waznt intended 4 them bc THEY DIDNT LIKE THE TAGZ OR ELEMENTZ OF THE FIC !! like, plz, DONT LIKE: DONT READ, or alternatively, DEAD DOVE; DO NOT EAT !! don't be surprised when u read a fic & the THINGZ THAT R TAGGED r ACTUALLY IN THE FIC
