this is just as much for you as for your followers, but if you're looking for resources on explaining cult practices or genocide denial, especially to those who are uninformed or might still have some American Conservative Conditioning, i'd really, really recommend the educational youtuber Knowing Better.

special recommendation goes to his videos on cults: (Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientology)

and his videos on genocide and war crime denial: (Holocaust denial, Armenian genocide denial, Japanese war crimes denial, Native American genocide and how American education denies it, Neoslavery in the United States, and how American education was used to de-facto continue segregation even after the Civil Rights movement).

I especially recommend him because he presents the facts in such a way it's hard to see him as biased, and he has the credentials and experience so people still entrenched in Americanism might very well listen to what he has to say.

i know this might be a weird request, but do you have any, like, beginner's resources on youth liberation theory? what i mean by that is like... you could show to someone who still has those ingrained adultist etc. mindsets. no problem if you don't though, thanks anyway!

this was a while ago, but i'm still so enraged about it: back when people were boycotting anything remotely related to russia due to putin's war, which people with a brain knew was kind of stupid and bigoted, i saw an article that said something like 'tchaikovsky concert cancelled due to russian invasion of ukraine'. like. really. tchaikovsky? the russian composer rather famously murdered for being gay? that's what you want to boycott??? it still frustrates me.

People's fan OCs becoming just OCs is my favourite transformation in fandom because that is how you measure a piece of work's ultimate influence. By how many future original properties it affects.

the way i know fanpol aren't serious about "anti-grooming" or "exposure" efforts is that i've lived through that and know what it's actually like:

for story context, a massive minecraft server was about to launch and one of the admins, formerly a highly respected player - we'll call him B - was known by some people to have sexually groomed a minor player -- sparing you the details but it was pretty bad -- a group of people including me compiled a PDF with irrefutable evidence this happened, and all hell broke loose. B was forced to leave the community, but the remaining admins never apologized for (1) calling the group that exposed B "cyberstalkers" or (2) denying B did anything wrong initially, which they quietly walked back. To this day, a hardline group of players maintain that B *never* did anything wrong, and that the accusations were made up by a second group - (1/2)

(2/2) this second group, a group that had not only groomed minors but permanently scarred many for life -- who fled to Bulgaria to avoid US federal law enforcement, it was that bad -- oh, and some of them were ex-friends of mine, which will become relevant when

two years after that other group was exposed, me, as well as the others who exposed B, were accused of being aided by or collaborating with these literal nazi groomers. i in particular was doxxed (by someone who had been a victim of the latter group's grooming, which 😬) and to this day people still act as if those who exposed B were synonymous with the latter group.

All this to say, these fucking antis never take "exposure" seriously, even with people who they think are actual predators.

The amount of molesters and abusers in antiship spaces is already so high that it's obvious they use it as a recruitment technique for picking underage victims, but damn.

It's always so fucking horrific when people actually do the stuff Antiships say they support (protecting kids, fighting grooming, preventing rape, etc) and then antiship hypocrisy comes out in full: just to make victims' lives harder.

It's... somehow it's always just as stunning as the first time, every time I hear a new story like this.

It's been a decade of this shit and I'm still just rendered speechless every fucking time...
