@prosotankutu this is your eruri valentine! I’m not sure if I did exactly what you wanted but here
The snow fell at an alarming pace one minute, then switched back to floating down lightly onto Levi’s collar a moment later. He watched the flakes critically as the weather switched once again, and then again, and wondered if Erwin had missed work today, as he hadn’t yet shown up at their bus stop and soon it would be too late.
Levi figured that it would be for the best anyway if he rode the bus home alone. Erwin probably had some wife that he had spent the day with, was going out to some fancy restaurant as Levi himself stood there observing the weather. It was silly, he decided, and misguided, to think that Erwin had been flirting with him. Levi knew the man well enough to understand now that he had simply been being kind.
Levi’s eyebrows crinkled together as he realized how tight his stomach felt at the thought of Erwin spending his night with some faceless woman, and he ran a gloved hand through his thin hair. Thin already, even though he was only in his thirties.
Alone in his thirties.
“I’ll bet even Kenny’s got ahold of Uri for tonight.” He mumbles to the wind as it picks up before the bus stoppes a few feet to his left. He looks around as he approaches the mess of human germs and city waste that this world calls ‘public transportation’ and, to his surprise, a tall, blonde man in a frankly carelessly unbuttoned coat is jogging towards him and the bus. Levi takes his time paying, stalling so that Erwin has time to get on, and notices that he feels triumphant. Over what he doesn’t know, but he does, and his elation allows him to greet the object of his affection with a small smile.
“I didn’t think you’d get on today; you’ve never been late before.” Said Levi after the two of them sat down. He looked at the seats in front of them disapprovingly. Oh how he hated public transport.
“Me neither. I was much more alone today than usual.” Replied Erwin. “I guess everybody had something better to do.”
“Or someone.” Levi said, looking up at Erwin, a mischievous glint appearing in his eye. Erwin only chuckled half-heartedly, appearing nervous all of a sudden. Levi wondered again if Erwin had someone, but quickly dismissed the idea. If he did he would brave probably mentioned them already.
They sat there, making conversation, for about fifteen minutes until Erin looked up and tapped Levi very gently on the arm, effectively shutting him up in the middle of his sentence.
“Hey, you want to get off here?” Asked the larger man, gesturing with his chin towards the upcoming bus stop. Levi looked to see which stop it was, but didn’t notice anything particularly interesting about it. They were almost out of town, and Levi wanted to go home, but a small part of him made him nod.
“Yeah, just let me-” he pulled out his phone from his pants pocket, lifting himself off of the seat slightly to access it. Quickly he tapped out a short message to his roommate, Isabelle. He trusted Erwin, but not that much.
They got off of the bus and Levi followed Erwin down the fairly busy streets, becoming keenly aware that they were among only couples. Soon the silence between them became awkward and Levi wished that he had just said no to whatever Erwin had planned. In fact, it was moments before he had completely convinced himself that this was a bad idea that Erwin put a firm hand on his shoulder and glanced down at him, a small smile gracing his face.
“You can stop worrying now, Levi. We’re just going there.”
Levi looked at where Erwin’s finger was pointing, what looked like a small jazz club. Having never frequented this part of town he didn’t know the reputation of that particular place, but it looked innocent enough.
“Will you be my Valentine?” Asked the man who had moved his hand so that he was cradling Levi’s body against his, and Levi looked up, making sure not to let his elation at the prospect show on his face.
